Image by Tom T via FlickrToday I rode my bike into work. From my starting point to work is 7.25 miles. This also means I have to ride it back home. This may not seem like a big deal to a lot of you, but I am a large guy and not at all in shape. This is something I would like to do more often, hopefully twice a week or more. Last year I lost a lot of weight, but there is plenty more to lose. Getting healthy physically is an important priority for me, as I want to be able to do things with my family without "out of shape" issues causing problems. On the sidebar there is now a tracker for the miles I have ridden. Hopefully you all will hold me accountable and keep me on track. I know that right now I am not going to shatter any biking miles records, but every little bit helps. Also I am hoping that I can soon enter some organized rides. Jami is also biking with me. This is something I am enjoying very much. If you more experienced riders have some tips or suggestions, please feel free to leave me those in the comments.
